Twitterfone launched in May to let Twitter users post new messages by calling in to a phone number and speaking out what they want to say. The service then converts the message to text and posts it to your Twitter account along with a link to the audio file. Here’s a test message I created at the launch. Jose Antonio Vargas at the Washington Post wonders how we could make the upcoming presidential debates interactive, given that the teaming with MySpace is disappointing.
If given a choice between having more YouTube snowmen asking questions or hearing McCain and Obama talk with one another for an hour with no moderator and no questions, I would completely go for the YouTubeless version.

I've got about one and a half weeks before I start the roadtrip to Denver, and in that time I want to do some prep, if there's interest, with other bloggers who will be there, or people who are covering the convention remotely, or are just interested in what's happening there.
I have a great toolkit, code that can connect all the blogging and micro-blogging environments, Twitter, Identi.ca, FriendFeed and RSS of course, and probably most other kinds of connections you can think of.

What are your biggest issues, bugs and annoyances with Adobe AIR? I am specifically looking for input on both developers bugs, and end user bugs. I am not looking for input on features you would like added (Ill do that in another post).
We already have a pretty good idea of the main issues (based on the forums, bug reports, blogs, testing and twitter), but your comments here will be another useful data point.

So I finally got my hands on an iPhone 3G but am currently still favouring my iPhone 2.5G - why ? - The signal seems better- 3G signal is patchy at best and forget receiving calls when you have 3G on - horrible...- The battery life is **much** better on the original iPhone than on the 3G iPhone- All my accessories such as Power Monkey fit the original iPhone but not the new 3g iPhone as Apple in their wisdom changed the connector.- GPS is slow and actually I find that the triangulation usin Aug. 6, 2008 09:55 AM |

Earlier this week on Javalobby, I posted an extract from our monthly newsletter regarding our analysis of the ‘missing braces in If Statement’ rule firing and the potential bug involved.
If you omit braces and use Static Analysis tools it is a problem actually finding these bugs. Why? Because you probably have the rule turned off!

Breaking News: The NASA Phoenix lander reported via Twitter that they have a confirmed find of water on Mars. A soil sample containing ice was heated up in the internal TEGA oven and H2O vapors were confirmed. Newsmedia are starting to cover the find as we speak. The new iPhone 3G and the iPhone 2.0 software update can best be described as the most successful failure I can remember. Apple has sold an astounding number of phones and applications, and yet is failing in so many different ways:
