Microsoft's OOXML Is Now Officially On a Par with HTML, PDF and ODF
As anticipated here at SYS-CON.com and elsewhere already yesterday, and despite world XML expert Tim Bray's observation - after the OOXML BRM - that the process is 'irretrievably broken,' Microsoft's OOXML has been announced today as the latest ISO standard - after more than 14 months of intensive review and controversy.

ISO is making itself irrelevant thanks to Microsoft's tactics.

You didn'T get it. The process is 'irretrievably broken,'; this is why they approved the broken format.

Accusations of voting irregularities are still loudly being voiced in some quarters.
