Revisiting RSS
I'm one of those technology enthusiasts who like to be on the edge, which means that if I'm not creating news, I at least like to read a lot to keep up with the rapidly changing world of technology. A part of my morning (and sometimes even my night) is spent taking a good look at some of the popular technology Web sites.

Here is what Danny Sukkivan says on the matter of the meaninf of "RSS":

What does RSS stand for? There's a can of worms. RSS as introduced by Netscape in 1999 then later abandoned in 2001 stood for "Rich Site Summary." Another version of RSS pioneered by UserLand Software stands for "Really Simple Syndication." In yet another version, RSS stands for "RDF Site Summary."

Actually, RSS does not stand for anything in specific, and there are any number of different interpretations assigned to it - try "Rich Site Syndication"...

Actually, RSS = "Rich Site Summary" or "RDF Site Summary" not "Really Simple Syndication"
