Azul Names VP Of Human Resources
Tricia Tomlinson Will Take Worldwide Responsibility For HR Functions, Leveraging 25 Years Of Experience

Azul Systems, Inc., a provider of network attached processing solutions designed to unbound compute resources for service-oriented applications such as those based on the Java platform, announced that Tricia Tomlinson (pictured) has joined the company as vice president of human resources with worldwide responsibility for all human resources functions and activities as well as driving the culture, environment, organizational systems and processes that govern how work is done and people are treated at Azul Systems.

Tricia is a graduate of the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Pomona College in Claremont, California. She is a technology industry veteran and a recognized human resources expert with 25 years of experience in cultivating people, creating corporate cultures and developing workforces as a strategic, competitive advantage. Prior to joining Azul Systems, Tomlinson was senior vice president human resources at palmOne where she led the development of a combined company culture for the merger with Handspring, Inc. Tricia also served as human resources vice president at Handspring, charged with driving the company's philosophies, programs, policies and human resources infrastructure. During the company's expansion period, she managed the hiring of 380 employees worldwide in 18 months and was instrumental in planning and orchestrating the integration of Handspring and Palm Solutions following the acclaimed acquisition in 2003.

Prior to that, Tomlinson served as senior ranking officer of the Edify Corporation where she managed all aspects of the human resources function, including organizational design, compensation and benefits, training and development, employee relations and recruitment. Tomlinson also served in senior management positions at Xerox Corporation, Synopsys and Apple Computer.
