OASIS organizational members are asked to vote on four specifications that have
been submitted for consideration as OASIS Standards. The ebXML Registry
Information Model (RIM) v3.0 and ebXML Registry Services and Protocols (RS) v3.0
offer a method for defining and managing interoperable registries and
repositories. OpenDocument provides an XML-based file format specification for
office applications.
The Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) provides an end-to-end architecture for authoring, producing, and delivering readable information as discrete, typed topics. Balloting for all these specifications closes 30 April.

OASIS has also announced dates and open positions for the 2005 elections for its Board of Directors and Technical Advisory Board. Although membership in OASIS is not required for directors, candidates must be nominated by an OASIS Foundational Sponsor, Sponsor, or Contributor member. Balloting will be held in May to fill five Board seats and four TAB seats.
