PLANO, Texas, April 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Perot Systems Corporation's engineering services outsourcing (ESO) company known as eServ, was recently named top service provider in two ESO-related categories in the annual survey of the "Best Managed Global Outsourcing Vendors" by The Brown & Wilson Group, the authors of the book, The Black Book of Outsourcing (Wiley Publishers).
The Black Book provides advice and trend information for companies considering or implementing outsourcing. The book also includes an overall ranking of outsourcing providers, as well as rankings in a number of subcategories such as Engineering Support Firms and Mechanical Engineering Firms.
In addition to ranking Perot Systems as one of the Best Managed Global Outsourcing Vendors, the book ranks eServ first among Engineering Support Firms and Mechanical Engineering Firms. The company also ranked among the top ten in three other engineering-related subcategories.
"We are honored to be listed as a top provider of engineering support services in the 2006 edition of The Black Book of Outsourcing, and are particularly pleased that the evaluation highlighted our strong industry and technical expertise," said Steve Curts, president of Perot Systems commercial solutions group.
"Manufacturers, under extreme pressure to get new products to market more quickly, are always looking for ways to shorten the design and manufacturing timelines. But at the same time, they have to control costs and -- above all -- maintain their brands' expected levels of quality and innovation," said James Richmond, president of eServ. "Our engineering expertise and lean product development processes, along with our outsourcing and global delivery capabilities, uniquely positions Perot Systems to help clients attain both high quality and lower total cost."
eServ, a Perot Systems company, combines variable resources, lean product development methodologies, and advanced collaboration technology in its ValueSourcing(R) engineering product design outsourcing services to help its clients achieve their objectives.
