Converged Communications as a Service: The Business Communications Endgame

Converged communications technology combined with a SaaS delivery model transforms enterprise communication

The perfect storm is brewing in the business communications industry that will usher in a fundamental and dramatic shift in how business communications are provided. Just what the world needs, yet another acronym to confuse enterprise IT. Just as the industry started to get our unified communications act together by aligning technology convergence under "UC," along comes a new start up that thinks it will capture market share by creating a new label that is slightly different but is supposed to be a "new concept." Give me a break!
Guess what? the traditional communication service providers, alias the "carriers," are already moving into that space, especially though the convergence of Fixed Mobile Communications (FMC). They are are going to go after the big SMB market and offer more than just communication services, but business applications as well. Get a life!
