SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- BrandHabit(TM) (http://www.brandhabit.com/), a site targeting the 78% of apparel consumers who look online to find local retailers, today announced the launch of its consumer site. The groundbreaking search engine connects customers with local retailers and fashion designers, and gives designers a peek at what consumers are thinking about their product. Focusing on women's apparel, accessories and footwear, BrandHabit offers consumers insight into fashion trends while at the same time leveraging the social characteristics of the web, allowing registered users to blog and comment on the fashions they see. To date, the BrandHabit database includes over 30,000 boutiques and 5,000 designers.
Debuting with the March issue (out February 20) of MORE magazine, which targets women over 40, BrandHabit will extend the power and reach of the publication's shopping pages by becoming its online shopping directory. With this partnership, 4.4 million MORE readers will be directed to BrandHabit.com to locate the fashions appearing in the magazine.
"The site fills a niche in the search engine category, focusing on designer information rarely available elsewhere," commented Carla Morton, CEO, BrandHabit. "BrandHabit cuts through the clutter of unwanted data, provides shoppers easy access to the desired item or information." Searches may be completed on the basis of zip code, designer brand or local boutique name, and more.
