CHICAGO, March 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Orbitz Partner Network, a leading provider of private label travel technology, has launched a new partnership with the Finnish airline Finnair to power dynamic package search and booking capabilities on the company's U.S. website. Finnair was named winner of the "Best Airline in Northern Europe" award at the 2012 World Airline Awards, and this new agreement enables travelers to leverage Orbitz Worldwide proprietary technology for booking vacation packages that combine flights with hotel rooms.

"Finnair is committed to providing travelers with ease and peace of mind at every stage of their journey, and this partnership provides U.S. customers with a seamless and economical flight and hotel booking experience, all in one simple environment with the Finnair look and feel," said Anssi Komulainen, senior vice president of customer service at Finnair. "The intuitive user interface along with Orbitz's extensive hotel inventory in the 70-plus destinations we serve made it the best solution for us."
The newly launched Finnair site is accessible from the airline's U.S. homepage and provides a seamless user experience that retains the company's distinctive branding. Through this partnership, Orbitz and Finnair are able to extend cost savings to customers who book a flight and hotel room at the same time while further increasing awareness of Finnair in the U.S. market.
"We've made significant enhancements to our technology platform that make it easy for partners like Finnair to easily and seamlessly add vacation packages to their existing product offering," said Ronnie Gurion, president of Orbitz Partner Network. "Whereas many of our OTA competitors do not offer dynamic packaging technology to their private label partners, Orbitz recognizes that a broad array of companies can benefit from this capability so we are driven to provide the industry's leading dynamic packaging solution."
Orbitz powers travel solutions for a variety of partners, including many of the world's leading airlines and thousands of partners globally. Orbitz Partner Network offers a range of private label solutions for partners of all sizes, including an easily configurable and hosted HTML solution that can be launched quickly with no upfront costs; XML solutions that allow full control of the user interface; and end-to-end custom developed XML and HTML solutions that are fully tailored to meet the unique requirements of more complex partner needs.
