Editions Francis Lefebvre Places Order for 300 Licenses of Serna XML Editor

Replaces Traditional XML Editor with More Flexible, User-friendly Option

IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- InfoTrust Group (www.infotrustgroup.com), a leading provider of XML-based information management solutions and services, announced today that Editions Francis Lefebvre (EFL) has placed an order for 300 licenses of Serna XML Editor, the company's WYSIWYG application for authoring structured content.

EFL, an established leader in the field of legal publishing, earlier this year selected InfoTrust Group's TechSight/X® platform to dynamically assemble structured content for use on mobile devices, in print publications, through online subscription services, and as part of custom publications (see press release). As part of its solution, EFL sought a single tool that would allow all of its writers to create channel-agnostic, XML content while meeting requirements specific to their environment and not requiring its domain experts to learn cumbersome technology.

To choose the right XML editor, EFL engaged an independent party that conducted a comparison between the popular XML editor some of its writers had been using and Serna XML Editor. While the comparison confirmed that both editors provide similar overall capabilities, the results showed that Serna XML Editor performed better against critical project requirements. In addition, the incumbent editor did not cover specific features that already are a part of Serna XML Editor's roadmap.

"We were pleasantly surprised to learn that Serna XML Editor performed better in a number of areas against the well-known and incumbent editor," said EFL Chief Information Officer Mehdi Mohammedi. "Combined with the user-friendly approach that minimizes the learning curve, InfoTrust Group's ability to respond to our customization requirements, and a competitive price point, the choice to go with Serna XML Editor was clear."

"As organizations increase their use of XML editors across a larger user base, we are pleased to provide a tool that accommodates writers' needs for minimal disruption to the way they work while ensuring that they create high-quality XML content," said Geoffrey Godet, President and CEO of InfoTrust Group. "EFL's decision to use Serna XML Editor is a significant proof point for its ability to meet both user and technical expectations and affirmation of InfoTrust Group's customer service."
