CustomWeather, Inc., a specialized provider of high resolution weather forecast and alert services, has announced that app developer, DeluxeWare, has adopted CustomWeather as the weather data provider for its two weather apps, MegaWeather and WeatherNow.
MegaWeather, designed specifically for iOS 4.3 and higher, uses "retina" display that offers an impressive 3D weather experience. MegaWeather is a high-speed application with a user-friendly interface that includes new "touch & slide" features. A wealth of weather data is included and temperature is displayed right on the badge icon.
Key features of Weather Now include 3D graphics, forecast data and a unique method of scaling the data charts. The home screen offers information on the selected location, local time and current weather with detailed weather conditions, and an incredibly beautiful 3-dimensional image of the globe with a realistic-looking atmosphere, sun and stars. The globe can be turned, increased and decreased in size, and spinning can be stopped and started. When a device is in a cradle or dock station, the application can run as a screensaver.
CustomWeather’s high resolution, localized forecasting system continues to gain popularity with app developers for coverage, accuracy and ease of integration.
At DeluxeWare, Evgeny Tormozov explains that “CustomWeather was our choice as the weather data provider for our apps due to their extensive worldwide offering of localized weather forecasts. We also appreciate how easy it is to work with the XML formats provided by CustomWeather to access their weather data.”
MegaWeather is available on iTunes in 7 different languages and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. MegaWeather requires iOS 4.3 or later. WeatherNow , also available on iTunes in 5 different languages, is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. WeatherNow requires iOS 4.3 or later and is optimized for iPhone 5.
