PITTSBURGH, Nov. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ComponentOne a division of GrapeCity, the largest component solution provider in the Microsoft Visual Studio Partner Ecosystem, has released ComponentOne Studio Enterprise 2012 v3. The third of three releases scheduled for 2012, ComponentOne Studio Enterprise is a world renowned suite of data and UI controls for Microsoft Visual Studio, including Windows Store and HTML5 tools.
During the recent Microsoft //Build/ conference, ComponentOne announced the release of two new studios, Studio for WinRT XAML and Studio for WinJS. The Windows 8 controls in these Studios are now included in the comprehensive Studio Enterprise suite of controls.
Greg Lutz, Product Manager at ComponentOne, a division of GrapeCity, stated, "Each of the three Studio Enterprise releases this year proved to meet the needs of the changing developer landscape and in a timely fashion."
"We're now offering developers access to over 20 UI and data visualization controls for building compelling Windows Store apps. Current and new clients will be able to build stunning dashboards with the touch-first charts and gauge controls, plus deliver document and report viewing with our innovative PdfViewer control," said Lutz.
While the release of Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 was just a few months ago, September 2012, ComponentOne seems to already have some success stories of clients' using its control suites in their applications. Wallace Allison, Director at ITSBITS by IHS, Incorporated, detailed his experience in evaluating third-party control vendors and his decision to use ComponentOne controls when building his Windows 8 app, "Burn the Mortgage." The company website lists Chart enhancements that extend beyond the Windows Store platform to the other XAML platforms. Lutz commented, "It's now easier to implement data point selection and animation by taking advantage of the new features added to this release of Studio for Silverlight, WPF, and Windows Phone."
"Plus, we're excited about our new high-performance ListBox controls available in all XAML platforms. These specialized list boxes make it easy to display large amounts of bound data in tile layouts, as well as with optical zoom capabilities," said Lutz.
ComponentOne, a company known for its strong offering of Windows Forms controls, will have desktop developers excited over the Rich Text Format support in its popular Editor for WinForms control. It allows developers to import and export rich text documents into the WYSIWYG editor.
Rounding out the release are updates and enhancements to many of the other products that make up ComponentOne Studio Enterprise: Studio for WinForms, Studio for WPF, Studio for Windows Phone, Studio for Silverlight, Studio for ASP.NET Wijmo, Studio for iPhone, Studio for Entity Framework, Studio for Compact Framework, and Studio for ActiveX.
Availability
The company offers no-charge, 30-day trials of each of its component suites, which may be downloaded at http://www.componentone.com/Downloads/. Online visitors may also access tutorials, forums, documentation, and diagrams as part of the ComponentOne experience.
