KATSI's MedAZ Healthcare Software Earns Surescripts(R) Certification

PLAINSBORO, N.J., Feb. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- After rigorous testing, MedAZ v100103.000, the comprehensive healthcare software solution from Koni Ameri Tech Services, Inc. (KATSI). MedAZ (http://www.medaz.net), is now Surescripts® certified for prescription routing messaging.

Surescripts, the nation's e-prescription network, requires all associated providers to meet high connectivity, security and reliability standards. Certification testing of MedAZ v100103.000 showed the software met those standards in prescription routing messaging (NewRx, RxRenewal, STATUS and ERROR); Surescripts XML Implementation Guide V4.20; connectivity direct to Surescripts via HTTPS with basic authentication; and automatic prescriber upload and pharmacy download using Directories 4.0.

"The prescription routing messaging feature of MedAZ is secure and reliable, and we were able to demonstrate that through certification testing," stated Steve Popple of MedAZ. "We are pleased and honored to be able to claim the resulting Surescripts certified designation and look forward to our Surescripts solution provider certification."

Designed to give medical offices maximum efficiency and simplify back-office functions for physicians and caregivers, the patent-pending MedAZ solution includes appointment scheduling, billing, collections and CCOW- and HL7-compliant electronic health records (EHR) modules that are scalable to meet the needs of practices of any size. The system is multilingual, reliable and 100% secure: it actually exceeds HIPAA security requirements.

"MedAZ makes it easier for physicians and caregivers to provide both exceptional healthcare and exceptional service in the core medical office functions," said Steve. "Thanks to the Surescripts certification the MedAZ solution has earned, our clients can service patients' prescription requests electronically. Our clients can enhance revenues using the bonus payments for electronic prescriptions."

The current state of the art for Big Data analytics, as applied to network telemetry, offers new opportunities for improving and assuring operational integrity. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Jim Frey, Vice President of S...

The Internet of Things is clearly many things: data collection and analytics, wearables, Smart Grids and Smart Cities, the Industrial Internet, and more. Cool platforms like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Intel's Galileo and Edison, and a diverse world of sensors are making the IoT a great toy box for developers in all these areas. In this Power Panel at @ThingsExpo, moderated by Conference Chair Roger Strukhoff, panelists discussed what things are the most important, which will have the most profound e...
The Jevons Paradox suggests that when technological advances increase efficiency of a resource, it results in an overall increase in consumption. Writing on the increased use of coal as a result of technological improvements, 19th-century economist William Stanley Jevons found that these improvements led to the development of new ways to utilize coal. In his session at 19th Cloud Expo, Mark Thiele, Chief Strategy Officer for Apcera, compared the Jevons Paradox to modern-day enterprise IT, examin...
