VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 06/30/09 -- Unit 4 Agresso, the global business software developer and parent company of the Agresso and CODA product families, has announced its newly aligned positioning and its desire to deliver an enhanced user experience. The announcement was made in Boston at an annual analyst event which drew 24 influential market analysts from around the world, including Gartner Group, Forester Research, International Data Corporation (IDC), AMR Research, Aberdeen Group, Technology Evaluation Centers (TEC), TechVentive, Ventura Research, Deal Architect and PWR.
Among the highlights of the announcement were:
- Unit 4 Agresso believes that with its new international go-to-market strategy, aligning its Agresso and CODA product families, it has further differentiated itself in the market. With the post-implementation agility offered by Agresso and the interoperability delivered by CODA it is well placed to extend its market reach and position as the preferred global business supplier for Businesses Living IN Change.
- Agresso's new user experience R&D activities, presently code-named Agresso X2, are being undertaken in cooperation with a U.S.-based technology innovator. Together they plan to redefine the user experience via a three-part strategy that combines Agresso's product features and functionality, corrects competitor/standard user interface shortfalls and that leverages the benefits of Agresso's inherently flexible VITA architecture.
- The new Unit 4 Agresso Spanish R&D facility will become one of the top 3 development hubs for Unit 4 Agresso, along with Norway and the UK. It will also be Spain's largest software R&D facility.
